“The Pioneers of Punk" – On-line New Media Episodic Alternative Music and Lifestyle Documentary – “That’s Punk Rock!” We’ve all heard the saying. In today’s world, by today’s standards the term Punk Rock has transcended it’s origin, the origin that came from the bowels of the underground Indy sub culture of the Punk Rock music scene of the late 70’s and 80’s.
In today’s terms by our standards, Punk Rock and the term “That’s Punk Rock” has been redefined to describe any individual that has made their mark in society by their standards, their rules, still rooted with the DIY don’t give a F*ck attitude that Punk Rock became known for, it has broken the social stereotypes of Mohawks and middle fingers and has moved on to define people that against the odds have followed their dreams and carved their niche in society in all areas of life and have undoubtedly given a little middle finger along the way.
The Pioneers of Punk on-line media series is an exciting, insightful and uncompromisingly in-depth episodic exposé into the extreme personalities and core motivations of the unparalleled individual Pioneers from all genres’ Music, Cinema, Lifestyle, Fashion, Athletes, Authors, Business, we set out to expose the core people who have blazed their trail of individuality and wave their flag and stand Independently amongst millions as true individuals, true Pioneers of Punk!
Volume 1 of The Pioneers of Punk starts with the grass roots of mostly Southern Cal old School Punk Rock, to launch this project film maker John Foote wanted to start out with the bands and individuals that were influential to him as a young punker and that played a huge part in defining and influencing his own personal identity as a human being.
